Bailey Cameron, a 23-year-old Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, was reported missing on August 25.
According to his mother, her son was seen in evident distress almost a week later.
Remaining on active service, Cameron was preparing to depart the Corps on September 9 when, almost two weeks earlier,
vanished, the day after being spotted at the Coyote Bar and Grill in Carlsbad.
Surveillance footage shows that Cameron was dressed in black T-shirt and pants when he vanished.
According to the family, his possessions, which included his glasses, cellphone, and rucksack, were discovered a block away from the bar the following day.
There have been unsubstantiated reports of him being sighted about the base since his disappearance. Cameron was seen racing toward the water in obvious difficulty on Saturday

His relatives stated, "All we want is to see him through to the finish line."
Before Bailey ran away to a location on base, he did make an effort to assist Bailey.
Bailey was not found, despite reports that they looked for him for two hours using dogs and infrared imaging equipment," she continued.
