Bananas and creamy peanut butter are the stars of this easy-peasy breakfast recipe.
Ingredients
– 2 slices 100% whole wheat with honey bread – 4 teaspoons reduced-fat creamy peanut butter – 1 very small banana or 1/2 of a medium banana, sliced
Instructions
Spread bread with butter. Spread two teaspoons of peanut butter on each slice of toast while it is still warm if you want to.
Arrange the banana slices in a predetermined pattern on one of the slices of peanut butter toast.
When you want to build a sandwich, place the other slice on top with the peanut butter side underneath.
Tips: To add fiber, use whole grain or multigrain bread. For a different flavor, try using almond or cashew butter. Add a handful of fresh berries for added flavor and color.
