The show began with Roan in a medieval castle jail with a crossbow. The "My Kink Is Karma" singer was released and joined by numerous male dancers in armor who danced and fought.
Katy Perry, Anitta, Karol G, Shawn Mendes, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, Lisa, Megan Thee Stallion, and Benson Boone will perform at the VMAs alongside Roan.
