Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever set yet another record tonight.
On Friday night, the rookie guard set the WNBA single-season assist record. She finished with 18 points, all in the second half, nine assists, and eight rebounds in a 78-74 loss to the Las Vegas Aces.
Clark, 22, has 321 assists in her first year in the WNBA, surpassing Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun's 316 from last season.
The Fever (19-19) have two games remaining in the regular season, against Dallas on Sunday and Washington on Thursday.
Clark, the first overall choice in the WNBA draft out of Iowa, is averaging 19.1 points and a league-leading 8.4 assists. She also averages 5.8 rebounds.
