Joshua Palmer and Jack Jones expelled after late altercation in Jim Harbaugh's debut.

The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 22-10 on Sunday afternoon with a passionate finish.

After a failed 2-point conversion at SoFi Stadium, both sides had a long scrum in the back of the end zone. Both teams' players and coaches ran out to stop the confrontation between Chargers receiver Joshua Palmer and Raiders cornerback Jack Jones.

Palmer and Jones received unsportsmanlike behavior penalties and were expelled.

What started the fight is unknown. The Chargers tried to pass the 2-point conversion to Gus Edwards, but he was stopped. Palmer and Jones were off-play in the end zone.

Justin Herbert's short pass to freshman Ladd McConkey, who side-stepped into the end zone for his first career score, set up the 2-point convert. Late in the fourth quarter, the Chargers lead 22-10 and won their season opener.

Gardner Minshew completed 25-of-33 for 257 yards with a touchdown and interception for the Raiders. He connected with Alexander Mattison on a 31-yard pass in the first quarter.
