Across the 16 previous Paralympic Games, one nation has stood out in terms of performance: the United States of America. US competitors have won 2,283 medals at the Games, including 808 gold medals.
Julie Dussliere, Chief of Paralympics for the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), believes her team will add additional hardware in Paris 2024.
"As always we are looking to support our athletes on the top to achieve their best performances," according to Dussliere.

The fact that Paris 2024 is just three years after Tokyo has only increased the focus of USA Para sports, according to Dussliere.
"Our teams have accepted the shorter cycle and adapted to a three-year rather than four-year schedule. Everyone is sort of full steam forward since Tokyo".
"I would recommend that Paralympic enthusiasts watch something new. I've discovered that when people who are sports enthusiasts do that, they become fans of the following product or sport.
