The Rams may lose top wide receiver Puka Nacua for more than four weeks.
Nacua's right knee (a PCL strain) could keep him out for 5-7 weeks, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 23-year-old exited the Rams' season opener against the Lions in the first half and never returned.
After initially being listed as week-to-week, head coach Sean McVay revealed that the Rams had placed Nacua on injured reserve, requiring him to miss at least four games before returning to the field.
Nacua suffered right knee issues during training camp. The exact cause and method of his Aug. 4 injury were unknown.
Nacua returned to practice on Aug. 26, but McVay expected him to be "ready to roll" for the regular season, including Week 1 prep.
Similar circumstances contributed to Nacua's breakout last year. Nacua got a chance to shine in 2023 after Cooper Kupp got hurt.
With Nacua out, Kupp can reestablish himself as a top receiver, and Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson, and rookie Jordan Whittington can become this year's Puka Nacua.
