The Golden State Warriors are looking for ways to improve their roster ahead of the new season.
According to Spotrac's Keith Smith, the Warriors are one of four clubs that have worked out Nassir Little in recent days. Little, 24, played 45 games for the Phoenix Suns last season, averaging 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds.
He shot 46% from the field and 30% from three. The Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, and Miami Heat are also interested in the veteran forward.
The Suns dismissed Little earlier this summer in order to clear roster space for retooling their rotation following a poor postseason run. Golden State has 14 players under contract for next year.
Little has five years of NBA experience, spending the first four with the Portland Trail Blazers before heading to Phoenix for the 2023-24 season.
At 6-foot-5, he is a terrific size for his position and can give some much-needed cutting and off-ball defense to Steve Kerr's team.
Nonetheless, the front staff may determine that having an open roster slot is more valuable at the time
since it would provide the organization greater options closer to the Feb. 6 trade deadline.
